NOT NOT BANKSY THE REAL NOT BANKSY - 1st Ever Artist's Proof This is the point at which NOT BANKSY ceased making cutsie pastiches of the REAL BANKSY's work and started ripping off his images in a more direct way. At the same time another NOT BANKSY came into existence with his own website and started giving "art" away for free. Mildly bemused and entertained by this, the original NOT BANKSY claimed the REAL BANKSY was dead, NOT BANKSY had become too worthy, and so became the CONTINUITY BANKSY in association with the REAL NOT BANKSY. If you are confused by this don't worry about it. The main thing to remember is that this artwork is NOT by BANKSY and it is NOT by NOT BANKSY. It is by the CONTINUITY BANKSY in association with the REAL NOT BANKSY and contrary to all rumours, the REAL BANKSY has absolutely nothing to do with it. This is the first ever proof of this stencil painting, painted on an old bit of card that was knocking around the studio. After this test piece, an edition of 100 was made that sold out within a day.
